Jurnal Ekonomi dan Perbankan Syariah (JEPS) is a scholarly journal published by Institut Agama Islam (IAI) SEBI. Established in 2013, JEPS is published twice a year, in April and October. All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial review to ensure alignment with the journal’s scope before being sent to peer reviewers for further evaluation.

The journal aims to serve as a forum for researchers, academicians, and practitioners who are interested in advancing knowledge and exchanging ideas, issues, and challenges in the fields of Islamic economics and banking. It seeks to address the problems of the ummah and bridge the gap between theory and practice. The scope of JEPS includes, but is not limited to, the following areas: Islamic economics, Islamic business, Islamic banking, Islamic capital markets, Islamic wealth management, Shariah-compliant financial practices, zakat and waqf, takaful, Islamic corporate finance, Shariah-compliant risk management, Islamic derivatives, the role of Shariah Supervisory Boards, and Islamic business ethics.

Once an article is accepted, it will proceed to copyediting and typesetting by our production team. Authors will be notified by email when proofs are ready for review. Articles are published according to a first in, first out (FIFO) policy. Manuscripts received between November and April are published in the April issue, while those submitted from May to October are published in the October issue. If the slots for a given issue are already filled, accepted articles will be scheduled for the following edition.

The journal is SINTA 5 accredited by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education Republic of Indonesia No. 204/E/KPT/2022 from 2020 to 2024 (Vol.8. no.1 to Vol.12, No.2, 2024).
